License
Last updated:
Camera Bridge is free and source-available under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0. This page is a plain-English summary; the full license text is what applies.
In short
- Free for personal and noncommercial use: your home, your family, hobby projects, study and research.
- You can use, copy, change and share the software for noncommercial purposes, and the license travels with it.
- Commercial use needs a paid license. That includes installers setting it up for clients, businesses using it for their sites, resale, and bundling it in a product or service.
- There is no warranty. The software is provided as is.

Questions
Can I use it at home?
Yes. Personal and noncommercial use is free, for as long as you like, on as many of your own cameras as you want.
Can my business use it?
Ask for a license. Any commercial use needs a paid license: legal@camera-bridge.app.
I install cameras for clients. Can I install Camera Bridge for them?
That is commercial use, so it needs a commercial license. Contact us and we will work something out.
Can I read, build and change the code?
Yes, for noncommercial purposes. You may also share your changes under the same terms.
Is it a free-for-all license?
No. It is source-available: you can read and change the code, but the license does not allow commercial use.
Does a school, charity or hobby club count as noncommercial?
The PolyForm license names charitable, educational and research organizations as permitted noncommercial users. Read the full text, and ask if you are unsure.
