Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated:
1. Apple's Standard EULA applies
Camera Bridge (the “App”) is licensed, not sold, to you through the Mac App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). The supplemental terms below are between you and Corey Silvia (“we”) only, not Apple. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent required by Apple.
2. What the App does
The App connects IP cameras on your local network to Apple Home. It runs on your Mac, which must be on, awake and connected to your network for cameras to be available. Features such as HomeKit Secure Video depend on Apple services, a home hub and an iCloud+ plan, which we do not control.
3. Not a security or life-safety system
The App is a convenience tool for home use. It is not a professional monitoring, alarm, emergency or life-safety system, and it may miss events, notifications or recordings because of network, power, camera, Apple or Mac issues. Do not rely on it to protect people or property, or to contact emergency services.
4. Your cameras and settings
- You must own the cameras you connect, or be authorized to access and configure them.
- “Optimize for HomeKit” and related features change settings on your cameras (for example codec, keyframe interval, streams, time sync or users). We offer undo where the camera supports it, but camera firmware varies and changes may affect other software or recorders. Use these features at your own risk and keep a note of your original settings.
- Repeated failed logins can trigger a camera's lockout. The App tries to avoid this but cannot guarantee it.
5. Lawful and respectful use
You are responsible for complying with laws about video and audio recording, notice and consent, including where cameras capture neighbors, guests, employees or public spaces. Do not use the App to record people where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy or without any consent the law requires.
6. Online features
The App downloads camera profiles and notices from our servers and can, if you opt in, send anonymous setup reports, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may change or discontinue these online features; the App's core local functionality does not depend on them.
7. Third-party products
Camera and accessory names that appear on this site are trademarks of their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or by any camera maker. HomeKit and Apple Home are trademarks of Apple Inc.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited as set out in the Standard EULA. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
9. Purchases and refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple under its terms. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
10. Support and maintenance
We, not Apple, are responsible for providing support and maintenance for the App. Contact me@coreysilvia.com.
11. Changes
We may update these supplemental terms; the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
